Minutes of GNCC General meeting — April 28, 2009.

Keith Brown (Chair), Chris Boldt, Tobi Ming, Dave Beer, Allan Roberts, Jim Kirby.

The spring 2009 SpokeLore has been produced. Dave and Chris will deliver copies tomorrow. Many thanks to Tobi for taking the lead in producing this issue.

GNCC re-registration with the Ministry of Finance (Societies Act) has been completed.

Paid-up membership is now 16, and Tobi reports a balance in the account of $116.00.

Keith Brown brought up the idea that GNCC members likely have cycling related books that could be loaned out to other interested members. Maybe this could be mentioned in future SpokeLores as a further benefit of membership....

Sunday social rides have been happening with the most recent ride being on April 26th, 8 riders attending. Rides start at the Coyote Cafe at 10:00 AM. Next rides are May 10 (Dave leading), May 24 (Dave leading), June14 (Tobi leading), and June 28 (Allan leading).

Bike To Work Week- the GNCC will have a table with promotional material at a "Celebration Station" corner of E&N trail and Jinglepot Road between 7:00 to 9:00 am on May 13th. Chris, Keith and Dave will be there.

Everyone is encouraged to provide feedback to Nanaimo Parks (parks@nanaimo.ca) regarding the Nanaimo Bike Routes brochure.

Next GNCC meeting in May will be chaired by Dave, June GNCC meeting to be chaired by Tobi.
