GNCC's Meetings: Schedules and Minutes
Nine months of the year we get together to discuss what's going on in the GNCC, in Nanaimo's cycling community, and elsewhere. (We skip July, August and December.) These meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month. Each meeting is either a General (Regular) or a Board meeting. For General meetings, we line up one or more speakers to provide us with a presentation or slide show, and it's always worth coming out for. Some sample talks:
- a presentation on the development of the VI portions of the Trans Canada trail,
- a slide show on a cycling trip around Cuba,
- another cycle trip, this one to Hawaii
- a video of a 1200 km randonneur ride in France (P-B-P) that one of our members took part in.
- a presentation in favour of bike lanes on roads (the "conventional wisdom" is often against them).
What days:
As of May 2007, the schedule has had to be changed: the meeting night is now the 4th Tuesday of each month, although board meetings may be called at other times. July, August and December are excluded.

NEW, 2007. Meetings will take place at the Volunteer Nanaimo offices which are at 2350 Labieux Rd., Suite #3.
When:
7:00 pm.
Why:
Meet some great people, let us meet you, find out what's going on in town, find something to get involved in, see an interesting presentation, have a coffee and some snacks, relax.
How:
By bike, of course! Plenty of indoor and outdoor parking (if you must bring your car we will make you park it outside!).
